Do you recall the inefficiencies of paper-based filing systems, where documents had to be stored for extended periods due to regulatory requirements?

Remember searching through boxes for one page, hoping to find a golden gem that would complete your file, prove your case, or inform your article?

Remember when hundreds of thousands of square feet of office and industrial space were nationally dedicated to file storage?  Now, all that can be placed in the cloud.  Companies no longer have to allocate significant budgets for organized storage, which costs 1/1000th of the price.  The relief of not having to deal with physical storage spaces is truly liberating.

However, the best part is that retrieving your data is a breeze.  It requires a few clicks with a 50% competent computer person, like me.  It’s reassuring to know that your data is always within reach, just a few clicks away.

Young people would read this and be somewhat perplexed.  What are you talking about?

Ask your parents and grandparents.  Earning a little History will amaze you at how much society has changed.  It’s truly enlightening to see how far we’ve come from the days of paper-based filing systems.
